Mary "Sally" Clopton (1932 - 2024)

     Mary I. “Sally” Clopton, 91, of Magnolia, Ky. passed away on May 6, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.  She was born Aug. 25, 1932, to Mary Melby Gibson.  Mary was a longtime member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Mt. Sherman.  She retired from Dow Corning where she worked as a machine operator.  Sally was also a member of the Share and Care Club and the Red Hats Club.  

     In addition to her mother, Sally was preceded in death by her husband Lyndie “Lynn” Clopton; one son, Larr yClopton; and 12 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her son, Doug (Amy) Clopton of Magnolia; two grandchildren, Brandon Dennis and Tyson Clopton; two half sisters; and one half-brother.  

     Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, 2024.
