Past-President 2016-2024

Suzanne joined the Clopton Family Association in 2002, attended her first Clopton Family Association Reunion the same year in Long Melford, Suffolk, and was immediately hooked. She became President of the CFA in 2016.

A resident of Austin, Texas, Suzanne is a retired public school educator, a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor, and is a 7th generation Texan through her 3rd great-grandfather, William Anthony Clopton, Sr., who was a survivor of the Mier Expedition (see Black Bean Episode, 1843). Her connection to the CFA is through her great-grandmother Alma Frances Clopton7 (William Anthony, Jr.6, William Anthony, Sr.5, Anthony4, Benjamin3, Walter2, William1).

She is a member of the Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an alumna of Delta Zeta sorority, and a member of the University of Texas Ambassadors Committee.  

Suzanne also belongs to Calvary Episcopal Church in Bastrop, Texas, and stays connected to her ancestral roots through membership in the Bastrop County Historical Society.
